2015 Year In Review

This year has been a crazy one. At the beginning of January 2015, I made a commitment to myself that I would go full force into the world of travel blogging. After having a makeshift blog for multiple years, which I didn’t really focus on or put much effort into, I felt it was time to stop focusing on things I didn’t love writing on other blogs, and start focusing on what I did love—traveling and sharing my experiences with others.

I relaunched my blog in January 2015 as Wanderlust, which then turned into Twirl The Globe in June after being accepted and attending Bloghouse—which inspired me to really turn my blog into something more original.

This year has been a complete whirlwind since the start. From my first blogging conference (The Women in Travel Summit in Boston), to becoming involved with the Toronto Travel Massive community and landing some sweet partnership deals (see bel0w). I even landed my first press trip with the help of Travel Massive and Visit Britain, and won a writing contest which landed me a trip to Jordan which I’ll be taking in this year (March 2016).

This past year has been eyeopening, and it’s made me realize that when you really are passionate about something, and have a dream, the only thing that’s holding you back is yourself! I can’t wait for another great year blogging, and thank you to everyone who has followed along.

Lauren 2015 seems like it was a fantastic year for you and Twirl The Globe. I look forward to reading more about your travels this year (especially your Jordan trip…it looks amazing there).
