Hotel Review: Hotel Mont Gabriel (Sainte-Adèle, Quebec)

Celebrating their 80th anniversary this year, Hotel Mont Gabriel is truly a hidden gem nestled on top of a mountain only 45 minutes outside of Montreal, Quebec. Visiting in the early fall, this place was breathtaking and I can only imagine that it becomes a different kind of beautiful in the winter. I would love to return here one day for a little getaway, and I can see it being an excellent spot for families wanting a winter or summer getaway depending on what you’re into.

Location

As we pulled up to the grand gates of the hotel, I couldn’t believe the gorgeous surroundings combined with the rustic, and relaxing decor of the hotel. The location is in close proximity to the city of Montreal, yet you feel like you are far enough away to get a relaxing vacation. Plus, the hotel is close to the little town of Sainte-Adèle which is probably the cutest town with victorian looking buildings filled with boutiques and delicious restaurants. You can ski in and out of the resort, and still feel like you’re away from a city, yet still having the ability and freedom to head to town for an evening out.

Room

The rooms at this hotel were pretty large, which is great if you are visiting for a ski trip and have a lot of stuff. I stayed in the superior part of the hotel which are the newer, updated rooms with magnificent views of the St-Sauveur Valley. The rooms are complete with a spacious balcony, flat screen TV and a little kitchenette with a microwave, mini fridge and coffeemaker. I seriously wanted to spend all day sitting on the balcony taking in the view!

You can also choose one of their 16 signature rooms which are part of the original hotel prior to the extension. These rooms have more character and are more rustic. They all are unique in their own way and include the classic wood construction with some of them offering a natural stone fireplace, making it perfect for a cozy stay.

They do also have a few condos for rent and some regular rooms that don’t come complete with the views of the superior rooms.
